History of Scottish Medicine

There are good reasons why Scottish medicine deserves a history. Scots physicians and surgeons feature prominently in the history of European medicine, and they and the medical schools and colleges that flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries were influential in shaping the modern medical profession.
